  • Post-Thrombotic Syndrome After DVT

    There are not clear data yet on the incidence and the risk factors of a post-thrombotic syndrome after an episode of deep venous thrombosis (DVT). Through a prospective cohort trial, 387 patients with DVT in eight hospitals in Canada have been treated with heparin followed by warfarin and monitored after 1, 4, 8, 12 and 24 months.
