How to Interrupt Antidepressants

When we speak of sudden interruption of treatment, we refer to a period of 1-7 days, while gradual interruption implies the use of a drug at reduced doses for at least 14 days. In order to verify the results obtainable with a sudden to gradual interruption of antidepressants, some Italian researchers have followed 398 patients affected by major depression (224 subjects), panic attacks (75), type I (37) or type II (62) bipolar disorders.
