Mammography and Breast-Cancer-Related Specific Mortality

With a recent meta-analysis performed by USPSTF (U.S. Preventive Services Task Force), it has been calculated that mammographic screening in women between 50 and 69 years of age lowers breast-cancer-related mortality down of 14% between 50 and 60 years of age and of 32% between 60 and 69 years of age (Annals of Internal Medicine 2009; 151:727).
