The CD28 T-cell costimulatory molecule was shown to regulate in vivo migration of memory T cells independent of TCR stimulation, suggesting that CD28 can have additional functions beyond costimulation. However, the mechanism involved, the physiological relevance, and the therapeutic implications await further investigation.

As no appeals against its draft recommendations were received, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has today published its guidance on the use of fludarabine monotherapy for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). The guidance does not recommend the use of fludarabine monotherapy for first line treatment of CLL.
