  • Steroid Infiltrations in the Osteoarthritis of the Hip

    There are not many case-control trials evaluating the efficacy of intra-articular cortisones as a therapy for osteoarthritis of the hip, so this randomized trial has been performed in Canada, where patients suffering from painful osteoarthritis of the hip, refractory to very high doses of NSAIDs or paracetamol have been treated with triamcinolone acetonide (fluoroscopic-guided injected 40 mg) or with saline solution.
